Viva Hein: Myanmar singer performs 20 shows per month

Myanmar traditional song singer Viva Hein became so popular through her album “Byo-hit-than” especially in upper Myanmar. In Yangon, she is renowned for her copy version of Tokyo Drift. You might wonder why a traditional song singer would sing that kind of song.

Well, maybe that’s what makes her popular enough to perform 20 shows a month.And her dancing skill, that’s another reason for her popularity. She said she learnt dance from J-Lo, Britney and Shakira. (By watching their music videos of course.)

Now, her second album is in process to release. So let’s wait and see if that album could make her perform 30 shows a month.

Traditional song singer Pan Ei Phyu: She Sings, She Produces, She Sells!

You might not know Pan Ei Phyu who is pretty and skillful singer, actress and music producer if you are not a traditional music crazy but she’s the sweetheart of Myanmar traditional music lovers and.

And we obtained that she’s also good at doing business like to promote her own VCD. She said “I bring the VCDs of my album whenever I go on a tour and sell them before the show starts. And while I’m singing my colleagues sell the VCDs at the backstage.”

The VCD of her album “ Linkar-Dipa-Ashin-Thu-Lo-Lu” was released on last December 4, 2009 and it reaches almost everywhere in Upper Myanmar within 2months. Impressive right? That’s why we said_ “She sings, she produces and she sells!”
(Moral of the post:If you wanna be a successful singer, you’d better learn how to sell VCDs of your album. :)

Htun Aeindra Bo and Myo Kyawt Myaing to release new ablum

Htun Aeindra Bo, Myanmar actress and singer, is planning to release new duet album with Myo Kyawt Myaing, who is known as her last ex-boyfriend before started her current family life and well-known rapper in Myanmar. The album will be released within this week according to Htun Aeindra Bo’s status on facebook. The Album title is ” Ta gae ma chit bae nae” in Burmese which seems a bit strange or trick for their fans since it has the meaning of not really loving each other before or intend someone else :) .

The singer says that “I wish all of my fans will going to buy the original Tape and CD. Most of the songs from this album are own tune and hope everybody will love my new album.”

Baidu, Popular Chinese search engine, win music copyright lawsuit

Popular Chinese search engine Baidu has been sued in early 2008 for providing “deep links” to hundreds of thousands of infringing tracks on third-party sites. The case was launched in the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People’s Court by Universal Music, Sony BMG Music Entertainment Hong Kong and Warner Music Hong Kong.

But source on Tuesday said that “China’s Baidu wins court case against music groups”. The IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) which represents the recording industry worldwide, said it was very disappointed with the ruling after a court in China decided that the search engine had not broken rules by linking to music downloads that infringe copyright.

Though no one at Baidu or the court was available to comment, IFPI is considering to next steps since the case is extremely disappointing to music recording industry.

Source close to Kumondra told us that Jouk Jack, Kyaw Htut Swe, Ah boy and Htein Win form a group of music band and getting popular among Myanmar young people for their unreleased music album. We are told that their songs are released without license and distribute among their music fans.

Their songs are incredibly creative, lyrics and rhymes are passionate and a little bit dirty which is only suitable for adults. Although under teenage should be forbidden to listen them, they really like and even memorize them easily. They are very brilliant singers and here’s some interesting stories who want to know about them.

On a show, Htein Win said something what they crazy about other than hip hop. He said,’I'm crazy about being a director. Jouk Jack’s crazy about cars.Ah boy is about tatoo. He even opens a totoo shop. The last, Kyaw Htut Swe is about CHICKS!(oh! seems all the truth stories).’ What do you think of them?

“This is it” live music concert will be in Bangkok, Thailand

Over 20 artists from Thailand are planning to join “This is it” live music concert in Bangkok next month which convenes the country’s top artists from Sony Music and GMM Grammy to honour their beloved idol.

“Too many artists wanted to join the concert and if we included all of them, it would probably be a three-day music festival. The important thing is to put together a show that lives up to the legacy of Michael Jackson,” said by Birathon, managing director of Sony Music Entertainment Operating Thailand.

Thazin and other Myanmar singers to perform in Bangkok

Myanmar Celebrity Thazin and other singers will be performed in Bangkok at the end of January and on Feb 14. The tour is planned by organizers from Bangkok and tickets are now available. Thazin said that the last tour to Bangkok on new year went very well and it was fun to meet her fans from Bangkok.

She’s glad that now there’s a chance to meet them again and she’s going to sing duet sweet songs on Valentine’s day.

We heard that Joe Jonas is writing a lot of music these days and he may go brotherless like his brother Nick. Jonas fans may not worry if Joe really can go alone in his new album which can bring hotter image of Joe.

When he was asked if he’s planning on following in Nick’s brotherless footsteps, he declines to say yes or no. “It’s going really well,” Joe said. “I’ve written about five songs with some of my friends in different bands” ..
