Myanmar singers Sone Thin Par, Htoo Al Lin, Mee Mee Khe` and Kabyar Bwe Mhuu left Yagon on 23rd December 2009 as they are invited to the 2010 Grammy Music Award which will be held in L.A, California on 31st January 2010. This is the very first time in the history that Myanmar singers are invited to join this big event and very huge deal for them.

Kumondra has learned that they are chosen not only because of their songs but also their social volunteer works. They participated in I Love Myanmar organization (Rescue of Nargis Storm’s victim group). Singers are very proud and glad to attend there as they said that Grammy Award is the dream of every singer. Congratulations, guys!

The first time ever hip hop based movie in Myanmar which titled “Write Own Histroy” or “Ko-Tha-Mine-Ko-Yay” movie is directed by Nyo Min Lwin and Thar Nyi. As reported by Kumondra staff, this play is based on hip hop industry and the starring are also actual hip hop,R & B and rap singers such as Kyat Pha, Yone Lay, Jouk Jack, A-thin Cho Swe, Thiri Swe and others.
Myanmar hip hop movie: Ko Tha Mine Ko Yay
It is the first time for all of them to play in a movie and also the first time for the director to cast about hip hop music field in Myanmar. The movie will be released as DVD soon.We will have to wait and check it out how far they can go.

Myanmar singer Khin Bone is busy with the shows during this season and planning her new album,”A-Yone-Lwal-Thu”. And we recently learned she talked about her 6 year relationship with her boyfriend. She said “he is very understanding and that’s why we make it here. My friends are marrying and we will someday. It depends on both of us. We will sure at the day when we’re ready.”

She also said her boyfriend is a guitarist and he will be in her new album. Now he is in America. He always help with her music when he’s back. Kumondra wants to know “who is the mystery guy?”

Myanmar actress Khine Hnin Wai
Though some sources report that the divorce of Myanmar celebrity Khine Hnin Wai was in doubt, she confirmed to the media that “At the end, we both realized that divorcing is the best for both of us. We legally end our marriage in front of Judge Daw May Tun Tun Aye. Now I’m living with my mom and my head is filled with my acting career. I want my fans to know the truth what i am saying.”
She continued by saying that “I don’t wanna talk about the reason or the past or whose fault. I did try everything to keep my marriage. I gave it all. Even my career became the second part of my life. We married because we love each other. I still love my husband. But we could not be together anymore. I decided and I’m just doing what I should do. I don’t wanna apart with grudge, bitterness and hatred.”

Myanmar model and actress Melody
Beautiful Myanmar actress and model Melody seems so obsessed with singing besides acting. She even produced a live show album, titled “To my dearest” (A-chit-sone-thoh) which was not a great hit at all. Now she is trying to produce another one which would be her 1st solo album. Songs of various music genres will be included in this one and R-Zarni and Phoe Kar featured in it.
Well, let’s hear what she says_ “I’m not hoping for any profit from my album. Money doesn’t matter. I just want to show my audience what I love to do and what I’m capable to do.”
Oh, what a brave girl! If she succeeds this time, she will be a triple-threat as a singer, actress and producer. Way to go Melody!!

Every year, Kyar Pauk (Big Bag) spent his New Year night on stage entertaining his fans. But for this New Year, he plans to celebrate his New Year in another way to make something different. Kyar Pauk said_ “I think I’ll be on a trip with my family and my friends. So, no stage show and no on-stage countdown for me this new year eve.”
