Myanmar rocker Zaw Win Htut: Rocking off in Delhi

Myanmar rocker and popular singer Zaw Win Htut, commonly known as Nyi Htut, participated at the 3rd South Asian Bands Festival, along with his ‘Emperor’ Band, rocking off in Delhi on December 13.

The Rock star, who said “Rock never dies,” and his band are the first Burmese band that joined the third annual festival, held from December 11-13, where 14 other bands from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Maldives, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, India and Nepal are performing. The ‘Emperor’ started off as a Rock band in Myanmar (Burma) 25 years ago and band is still popular through the country.

Mr. and Mrs. Smart contest: Yangon, Myanmar

Mr. and Mrs. Smart contest was held in Chartium Hotel (Grand Ball Room), Yangon, on December 11, 2009. The contest was arranged and organized by Youth Development Program, jointly supported by Myanmar Medical Association and UNFPA.

Unlike any other Beauty pageant, this contest held a distinct marking scheme for its contestants. The title winners were chosen not because they are good-looking but because they are smart, intelligent, well knowledgeable concerning with HIV and AIDS, great personality and disciplined.

Contestants were limited between 14 to 25 and must also be ideals especially for today youths. Swe Zin Htike (PSI), Khant Sithu (actor) and Kyi Phyu Shin (director) helped as judges and Dr. U Khine Soe Win (YDP) and Ma Ei Yu Par Win (Ms.ASEAN) were also seen in the competition. Winners get 300,000 kyats each including trophies and will have great chances and opportunities as a model in public educational services in the future.

A beautiful and attractive Myanmar actress, Moe Pyae Pyae Maung (Ma Ei Ei Mon) married with her lover, Maung Sai Moe San at Sedona Hotel in December 5,2009. The groom is D.S.A personal assistance of the Chairman of CB Bank & Kaung Myanmar Aung Company Ltd.

Our favorite star, Eaindra Kyaw Zin also helped in the wedding. And many famous actors and actresses attended the wedding.

Fans to worry about if married actress continue performing her talent in movies? Or will she gain weight like the other celebrities?

There is no argument from us just on someone’s singing a song. And we love to watch this Myanmar celebrity Eaindra Kyaw Zin was shaking on the stage in U.S few weeks ago. We know someone can be good in both singing and acting as film star. Anyway, it’s rare.

But what we have learned these days is just wonder the culture of Myanmar celebrities when they are in overseas trip. They don’t care whether they can sing or not as some of them are not singers either. Rather they are film stars, artist or models. We don’t say they can not sing or they should not sing but what is the purpose of just following music like we sing karaok and shaking in front of the audience. We don’t judge the good or bad but you guess and decide what would you say.

Myanmar model and celebrity Thanda Hlaing: Where did i go wrong?

Myanmar model and celebrity Thanda Hlaing (Christie Mackenzie) post a note on her fb page yesterday and said “Where the hell did I go wrong?????”

In her post, she started with she believes in fortune telling and palmistry and reading personality from features. Then compare her life with her younger brother Burbu, one of the top Hip Hop singer in Myanmar, who seems having a better life than she does.

She continued saying unfair things regarding her life, in-laws in married life and ended with she started to wonder with her life approach! After reading the note, Kumondra has learned that Thanda Hlaing might get a great depression on her life and jealous a bit on her younger brother. But we wish all the best and success.

Myanmar Hip Hop singer Sai Sai Kham Hlaing, locally known as Sai Sai, is going to release VCD and DVD version of his “Ever Golli” music album on coming December 6th Sunday, 2 pm @ Blazon Shopping Centre according to Ray of Light Journal November 30 issue. Sai Sai is the heart of many teenage girls in Myanmar and he will meet all his fans on that special occasion day.

This music album is produced by Frenzo Production and will be distributed by Excellent Creation.

Thazin and Japan behind the trip

Ok guys.. sure most of you have read Ray of Light Journal, November 2009 issue where one of the headlines say “Thazin could not find her real love in US from her previous” :) And there were many rumors regarding her photos and hot pictures with a guy but she denied all those rumors.

Then, now she is planning to visit Japan in coming march 2010. What will be behind this trip? Finding sponsors lover or just shopping?
